The main reason for coming to Modesto was to visit a needlework shop that I often mail-order from. For those who aren't interested in needlework, you can tune out now! LOL.

The shop is called Elegant Stitch & we spent a few hours there browsing. I spent about $280 all up but that was mostly on thread. Thread travels very well and it's half the price than at home.

Our hotel was the Springhill Suites which is new and gorgeous. I can highly recommend it.
