So, I'm all alone now,  sad sad times.  Claire got her flight back to London and 5 hours later I got mine to Yangon, which ment i had to sleep on a bench at the airport (proably not the worst place I've stayed on this trip).  The flight was good and i got to the hostle ok via a pick up.
its an odd place.  the electricity often cuts out city wide and as soon as i left the hostel the first thing that i saw was a kid down a hole in the street doing some plumbing, and just further up the pavement there some chickens wandering about.  I got pretty used to seeing chickens in most places in Thailand but not in the big cities.  Most the men here wear skirts (maybe not so strange for some of you).
A lot of the city centre area is just made up of street markets and there is no where to sit down.  I went into a park (which i had to pay for) just to have a sit down and as soon as i did a man sat down with me for a chat.  he wasnt trying to sell me anything like io thought at first, he just wanted to practice his english.  Later I went to this huge pagoda/temple.  its was really nice there at sunset and suprisly peaceful.  I met some students there who wanted me to go to the monastary that they were staying at to see a ceromony, but they led the conversation so much that by the end if it that had planned a time and place where I sould meet them.  Maybe they were just very friendly but I don't think i'll be going to that one.
ther\ internet here isnt very good either because the govenment block anything that they dont like and its very slow but depending on which cyber cafe I go to I can get onto most websites.  Im guessing that the internet is just going to get worse outside of the capital and other big cities so these post might be few and far between.  and theres no chance of up loads pictures with these internet speeds, I'm not very good at that anyway.
I'v only been here for a day and a half but i feel that I've done most it already so tomorrow or the day after I will be traveling to the coast to get some more beach action.  then I'l be heading north to see the 800 year old ruined cities.
Keep you posted when I can xxxx

Sounds cool there mooks. Keep your eyes peeled for other stinky travellers that you can make friends with (not that I'm suggesting you stink or anything)! lol Not much news to report from this end to be honest. Think i've set my heart on being a surgeon though so i'm going to apply to be a student again lol and do a masters at edinburgh (don't worry it's a distance learning degree so I won't actually be there to ruin your street cred!)

Stay safe, love you xxx
