Yes, this date is correct! We only spent a day and a half in Florence, but one can see only sooooo many churches and museums before they burst into flames. he he he
Well our stay.... or rather stop over in Venice was even shorter! I think we were there for maybe 5 hours, but I am really glad that we made the trip. The maze of streets and trying to navigate oneself with a map is an experience and one everyone should try once in their life. Venice is quite a beautiful city with all the canals and we even got to see the sun set over the city by the Piazza San Marco. The Rialto Bridge is another nice site and if you really want to ride in the canal, the ferry is the cheapest option. The ferry is actually a great way to avoid having to navigate yourself back to the train station, but the ride was not all that spectacular.

Our stay was short and sweet and it was time to head off to Switzerland once again!

Vancouver takes on the World!
Hey Bryan and Vivian,

Glad to see you guys have become blog-a-holics like us! Sounds like your travels are going great! We enjoyed the switzerland train story immensely - that is classic travelling!

After 4 great months, we are finally leaving Africa tomorrow. We are going to the seychelles for 3 weeks (yes, admittedly we are becoming 'soft' and have decided to take the next few weeks off of travelling.) We are then on to India, Nepal, Tibet, Hong Kong, Cambodia and Thailand in roughly that order. We noticed you might be going to some of the same places and thought it might be fun to hook up for a drink or dinner? we arrrive in Dehli on September 2nd...

Cheers!

Matt & Ceri
