Well to be nice, Mokpo ain't got nothing going for it. It's mainly (the section I stayed in) a run down fishing town that's mainly used as a passage by ferry into the multiple islands around Mokpo or Jeju Island. Stayed at a cheap hotel next to the train station for 20,000W but the food was expensive. Met a cool buddhist beard-brother walking down a mountain carrying a huge wooden table he had made. Very cool and friendly guy.

International Ferry Terminal goes to Jeju, Domestic to the islands with the Train station in the middle and the Bus Terminal 20 mins out of town (take bus 1 from same side as train station). Met 2 Germans who were staying in the new part of town, me in Scumsville. Total number of westerners since leaving Seoul = 3.

Next stop Imja-Do (Do= Island) for my first Korean Couchsurfer.
