I told you all I booked a ticket back home for March but REALLY I am flying home just in time for my dad's 60th bday. I will have a friend pick me up and I'm trying to pry and see what they have planned for the day so I know when to show up. I'm writing this on Dec 30th but will post it when I return to the states. Still so much I want to do in and around Thailand so I will be returning in a few months to do them. Massage course, meditation course, MAYBE go to the South one more time, and of course finally spend some time in Cambodia. Then I will fly to Nepal around September (one year later than my original date) and I will do my volunteer work then. :-) Got some big plans for back at home. Or ideas anyway. . . I'm not sure if you've noticed but I tend to come up with a new idea/plan every day. Ideas for the next few months: work for 2-3 months, sell everything I have that has any value over 25 cents, download a bunch of books to put on my iphone, work out!, go visit Ashley in Missouri, maybe Jessi in Washington, and Mary in Cali, meet Josh in Austin and visit Haley . . anyone else request a visit? :-P I also plan on doing a road trip with my family for maybe a month if I can squeeze it in. ;-) Perhaps drag my mom out to Thailand or Cambodia or India. . the possibilities are endless. And to those of you who are thinking "how the hell does she do it?" . . .anything is possible. I graduated college and did nothing but work for 3 years to save up to travel for a year. Now I'm back to work for a few more months, raised enough money to volunteer for free for 3 months in Nepal, and plan on studying in ashrams in India. After the initial ticket to get to a foreign country, you might be surprised at how long you can make your money last. So if you really truly envy someone for traveling around the world. . .Try it. "Never try, never know" - One of my favorite things Thai people say quite often whenever you show doubt. Right up there with "why not".
