Ifrane and Azrou might be two of my favorite cities that I've visited in Morocco, although they hardly represent "real" Morocco. In a nutshell:
  • Ifrane: Feels like a combination of a nice municipal park and the Matterhorn section at           Disneyland.  The French built the town in the 1930’s and modeled it after European villages.
  • Azrou: Feels like a small Berber village…which is exactly what it is.  We didn’t get to spend much time here so I’d love to go back!
In between visiting the two villages we were able to hike in the Middle Atlas Mountains which was absolutely amazing!  There were so many different landscapes in a short amount of time.  Not to mention there were monkeys!
