Inside the park, our first stop of the day was at Trout Lake, a beautiful lake with guess what……many trout fishes.   Well, you kind of expected this, right….especially with a name like that!  We could easily see the huge fish through the water plus, by throwing bait into the lake, they jumped all over the place.  No fishing was allowed though!

Surrounding the lake, multi-colored trees added beauty to the area as well as the rocky grey colored hills.  Many white-tailed deer came right next to us as we fed them carrots.  It was amazing.   It was a gorgeous morning, the sun was out and the sky was blue.  I couldn't have asked for any better weather.

A hiking trail led us all around the lake where a variety of trees and landscape were viewed and enjoyed.  It was very peaceful as we were the only ones walking along the winding path which made it even more pleasant.   Plus, it was very thrilling in a way since every little noise heard made us turn our heads as we expected some deer or who knows what kind of wild animal to cross our path.  The forest was alive and we could feeeeeel it.

The path led to a stunning gigantic steep rock that had a small waterfall cascading along its side and way down into the lake.  The picturesque scene was quite beautiful and that’s right…..Michel couldn’t resist the temptation of climbing the rock.

Many picnic tables surrounded the area in which we selected one right next to the falls and enjoyed our much deserved lunch.  By then it was 11:30am.
