Very impressive, were the words I muttered to myself as we made our way half an hour later inside the park, an immense 1,800 acre park where many species of wild animals in their natural habitat were waiting to be discovered by us!   And to think, this "Omega Park" has been operational for a good twenty years without me even knowing about it…..  Where have I been all this time!!!!!

A lineup of cars was already ahead of us, confirming my earlier predictions.   After paying the entrance fee, we proceeded to drive on the unpaved road a very short distance which brought us directly to the “Park House” , the main building fully decorated with wildlife wood statues……and again, quite impressive!

Making my way inside the structure with Michel right next to me, a snack bar and restaurant were all very much tempting, especially the poutine……yummy……..but it was too early to eat!   After browsing through the gift shop which was nicely decorated with wildlife art effects, I made my way to the back door where a huge balcony surrounded the building.  What a panoramic stunning view I was rewarded with!

An enchanted forest with trees on fire with their multi-colored fall foliage reflected on the surface of the huge lake where wild geese flocked peacefully while small raccoons and foxes ate close by.  So much beauty…….  I was definitely in for an amazing day!   I was in heaven!

After purchasing several bags of carrots for the animals, with excitement, we rapidly made our way back to the car…..anxious to explore and discover the many species of wild animals in their natural habitat.
