Day 6 - afternoon
This time, I was prepared! I had a hairdresser's appointment thanks to Fiorella for having booked one for me ahead of time! Hurrahhhhh! Muchas gracias!
Since Sabrina wanted to do her hair by herself, I was able to convince her to come along with me and to have it done professionally by a hairdresser! Why not! It was time for us ladies to treat ourselves!
By taxi, Justin and Michel brought us to the "Amarige – Salon & Urban Spa", one of the best salons in Lima where Fiorella, with her mother and sister, were already there having their hair and makeup done!
Having arrived at the salon at 3:00pm, it was 5:00pm when we left the premises, all looking gorgeous I should add! But for the bride to be, she topped us all by looking absolutely stunning! Her long veil had been put into place by the hairdresser and…..it was a WOW factor!
We had no time to loose since we had a photographer shoot session to attend to at the “Country Club” and had close to half an hour drive from where we were……we wanted to make it on time! So full speed ahead, Fiorella’s mother, Charo, stepped on the gas pedal!
Upon arrival at the hotel’s reception, keys were given to Fiorella since a room for the night had been previously booked by the newlyweds to be so….without wasting any minutes, we all got dressed. With the help of her mother, Fiorella, the bride to be, put on her gorgeous Cendrillon’s lookalike dress and in the process, lighted the entire room as she looked absolutely breathtaking in it!
We proceeded to head outside where the hired film crew and professional photographer were already there to do their work. And yes, since I too had brought my camera with me, I was able to take wonderful shots and this, right next to the photographer! Ha, ha, ha! And much cheaper I should add!
Well, Sabrina and I were on a tight schedule, therefore by 6:15pm, regretfully we had to leave! A taxi cab was waived from the street nearby…..just imagine picturing both of us all dressed up in long dresses with makeup, hairdos and high heels…..and after hopping right into the cab, we had a half an hour drive way up to the Miraflores Colon Hotel, where the three men were all getting dressed and pampered up for the special occasion!
I made it on time to be able to take photos of Justin getting dressed. He looked handsome in his black tuxedo as I pinned on his shoulder a little white rose. As for Michel, he helped him adjust his bow around his neck…..after all, everything had to be perfect!
As I looked outside from my 10th
floor room’s window, the horizon was already illuminated with a rainbow of colors as the sun settled down for the night! At that precise moment, I was remembering exactly one year ago, on February 11, 2011, in the evening when Justin and Fiorella had their civil ceremony here in Lima! At that time too, a beautiful sunset was painted on the horizon above the calm waters of the ocean! It was a beautiful evening just like tonight…..where did time go!
Without any hesitations and ensuring that we had everything in hands, we all left the room, heading downstairs and then into the awaiting hotel’s car. It was 7:25pm! We had a five minute drive to the church. We had ample of time to greet the arriving guests…..we were on right on schedule in other words! Hurrah!
Mind that we almost forgot Justin’s speech….Sabrina had to go back up into the room and look for it while Justin became more nervous by the minute! Probably an anxiety attack! Ha, ha, ha! In the end, we had it all along! Monique :-)
