Since at 1:30pm no more cars were allowed inside Gatineau Park-Philippe Lake due to the area being completely full for the day, after having waited in line for a good half an hour, La Pêche Lake, a 20 minute drive from Philippe Lake became our newest destination for the day.
In order to reach La Pêche Lake, we had to drive on a 7km rocky and unpaved road inside Gatineau Park where bump after bump with dust flying all around us was what we had to go through before finally arriving at the lake.
To make matters worse, a wait of another half an hour had to be endured before finally, three canoes became suddenly available for us to rent.
Our day might have started on the wrong foot but it surely ended on the right one after a wonderful two hours was spent canoeing on the peaceful lake. While we all enjoyed the beautiful landscape and tranquility of it all, La Pêche Lake was absolutely breathtaking where the gorgeous blue sky with its puffy white clouds reflected on the calm surface of the water.
Definitely a place to come back to!
