As promised, in the early hours of the morning our transfer picked us at the hotel and by 4:00am, we were at the airport having a bite to eat! We had two long flights ahead of us and were enjoying our last few hours here in Turkey! :-(
Our flight departed on time, this being at 5:50am. From Istanbul, we flew with Lufthansa and three hours later, had arrived in Frankfurt. Since we had several hours of waiting before our next flight, Michel managed to pass the time by crashing on the airport's seats. It was a déjà vu all over again! I felt like waking him up and asking him who was in better shape! Hahaha!
Well, at 1:40pm, our Air Canada plane ran down the runway with us onboard! Up, up and away, we flew out of Frankfurt and then all over Europe followed by the Atlantic Ocean where once again, my vegetarian meal was brought to me before everyone else’s meal; and where once again, I regretted my choice preferring much better Michel’s meal! I’ll know better next time, I told him with a grin! I’ll never order special meals again!
Usually my flights are uneventful and that nothing out of the ordinary happens! But today, that was all about to change because you see, something did happen! It all started when I was looking outside the plane from my window's seat. We were flying way above the clouds and I was looking at the beautiful blue sky and the endless horizon! Everything looked so peaceful and serene when suddenly out of nowhere guess what I saw! You’ll never guess what I saw! And no, it wasn’t a bird!
I have to say that I have travelled all over the world in the past and that this was the first time that I was seeing what I saw and from where I stood way up in the sky! As they say there’s always a first time but anyway, as crazy as it sounds, what I saw was another big plane flying right next to ours! Yes, another plane flying right next to ours and at a much faster speed for that matter, leaving behind it a trail of black smoke! Wow! And no, I didn’t imagine it and no I wasn’t drunk neither! I’ve got pictures to prove it! Hahaha! I guess it was bound to happen with all of the air traffic these days!
