Day 13 (early morning)

Temperature: 14 degrees
Weather:  beautiful sunny day
=========================

The view of the Aegean Sea in front of me was absolutely wonderful!    The sun was already shining high above the cloudless blue sky which meant in my book, a beautiful day ahead of me!  Hurrah!  But why all of this excitement over the weather!!!

Well, you see because today, on this very special day, another one of my trip's highlight was going to be seen and explored making me in the process very ecstatic and excited!   So of course, the weather had to be perfect!   Being so full of energy this early in the morning….because after all it was only 7:00am….imagine seeing me later on!

After finishing our breakfast and since we still had an hour of leisure ahead of us before departure time, Michel and I walked around the hotel’s grounds!  Of course, Michel couldn’t help himself from jumping all over the rocks along the sea.  And no, he didn’t slip and fall into the water, not this time anyway!  Hahaha!  The setting was quite pleasant from a photographer’s point of view, different light, different shadows!   It was fantastic!

It was 8:30am when we departed and 9:00am when we arrived in Selcuk, a small town 30km away from Kusadasi where the Temple of Artemis, one of the Ancient Seven Wonders of the World, used to stand.  We were in the ancient city of EPHESUS, one of the greatest ruined cities in the western world as well as one of the finest archaeological sites and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be here!

"EPHESUS, here I come", I yelled out to Michel.
