Brazil Tour Day 2 – Rio de Janeiro
Michel and I elected for a 10 minutes helicopter ride that brought us above the lagoon, the Ipanema/Copacabana beaches, the Praia Vermelha with views above Sugar Loaf plus a fantastic turn around the Christ Statue, all of this for a $300.00 US$ fee per person. And let me tell you, it was all well worth it.
I was the first person getting in the helicopter and sat at the front right next to the pilot, this being the best place to sit for fantastic views. Michel sat behind the pilot and a third person behind me. In total we were four, the amount required for each flight.
Below me, the views were breathtaking as we made our way over the top tourist attraction sites in Rio de Janeiro. My most unforgettable moment was when we circled around the statue of Christ the Redeemer while I gasped at the beauty of it from high above the sky. My ten minute helicopter ride might have been a short one but every minute was enjoyed to the fullest and on the spur of the moment, it felt even longer.
