Day 10 (afternoon)
Temperature: 33 degrees (felt warmer)
Weather: Sunny, hot and humid
Brazil Tour: Day 6 Iguacu Falls
Sitting comfortably around the Das Cataratas hotel's swimming pool was extremely relaxing on a hot, humid, sunny afternoon. It was now time for us to do absolutely nothing and enjoy the hotel’s grounds especially this being our last day here in Foz do Iguacu. Where did time go! :-(
Every fifteen minutes or so, the pool’s bar staff kept bringing the guests lounging around the pool several things like hors d’oeuvres, drinks, water, small cool wet towels, watermelons, etc… We were definitely in for a treat and being pampered all over. Keep it coming I told Michel, I wasn’t complaining especially since all of this was free of charges. What a hard life this was just relaxing around and doing absolutely nothing! One that I can live with every day! Ha! Ha!
Having access to Wi-Fi with my iPhone, I kept taking pictures of Michel and myself and sending them back home to family members in Canada for them to see. I was teasing them because here I was in South America sweating on a hot sunny day while them in North America they were probably all freezing being wintertime down there. Technology…..so far away…. but so close in a way! This is what they call being connected! Ha! Ha! :-)
It felt sooooo good swimming in the pool. The water was quite cooling and refreshing. I could have swim for hours but didn’t want to miss out on the pampering of the staff!
Beautiful butterflies flew right pass us while helicopters above us. I remembered the first day we had arrived and we were flying in one of them! Time flies when you’re having fun!
We stayed at the pool all afternoon and around 4:30pm, decided it was now time to leave and prepare ourselves for our last walk along the border of the Iguacu River, especially since by 5:00pm, all tourists would be out of the National Park, meaning you know what!!
