Dear Blog,
Our next stop was on a huge reddish sanddune where we amused ourselves jumping off the cliffs into the soft reddish sand or simply running from the top of the sanddunes to the bottom. The weather was really nice and sunny.
After a good three hours of fully enjoying ourselves in this impressive land, it was time to head back to the visitors centre where we enormously thanked Ali for his entertainment, his excellent guide skills but most of all, his friendship.
We then met with Akram who drove us all the way back to Amman. It was nightfall by the time we arrived.
My journey to Wadi Rum, was like a journey to another world, a journey to a world where stunning beauty stands still, where unique shape mountains rise out of the red/orangy coloured desert sand and where all around us, we are surrounded by this silence, this unspoiled spectacular land that has a magical effect on you.
Thankful for Wadi Rum!
Monique :-)
