I have been asked to do a painting with a native theme for a friend so spent the week working on the piece 'Navaho Art Pieces'. I haven't worked with acrylics for some time but it sure felt good to be back working with paint. Don think's it's one of my better pieces. The photo doesn't do the colors justice. I didn't have good light for the photograph. Scott would love to have it if the friend decides it's not what she wants. It was a good excuse to push myself to get back to my art work!

In addition I took time to finish and photograph some of the Bone Bead Jewelry that I have been working on during the last few weeks. I love the feel of it when I wear it. Beading and 'stringing' are new activities for me so there is the challenge of learning something new!

It's hard to find time to work on my art while we are 'touristing' but I don't feel so bad knowing that I have a piece of fibre art on it's way to New Zealand for a show and have this painting and a growing collection of jewelry pieces to show for my winter's efforts.....but I am missing my studio space......
