This park goes into the top ten of our favorite places!  And in an area of pricey RV parks, the price was right.  Not large or fancy but it is in a beautiful locale.  To access it we drove past some really top professional golf clubs - one is the home of the Bob Hope Invitational - towards some mountains of rock that rise straight up out of the desert.  The park itself is on the edge of a reservoir - Lake Cahuilla - which was mirror smooth the whole time we were there.  We biked around the water  and found that it is larger than one would think from the campground.  We were glad we didn't start out walking although others were doing it. We had to walk the bikes at the far end due to fencing tight to the top of the reservoir retaining wall, separating the reservoir and a canal leading out.  It also prevented inadvertent access to the police firing range located between the mountains - causing sound to reverberate throughout the area.  A note to RVers, the park uses a dump station but has water and electricity.

While in the park, a couple for the HOP in Pasadena arrived and parked right behind us.  Although we didn't get to know each other at the HOP it was fun to touch base and compare notes.
