A tour of this extensive gated community gave us some insight into another option for southern winters. Our friends enjoy access to several golf courses, swimming pools, tennis, and many other sports facilities in addition to regular concerts featuring big name entertainers. Music is a large part of the social scene here. Bob, an accomplished pianist and organist has just been asked to provide music before and during intermission for Saturday night at the movies later this month. However, I think that the sunshine (they tell us it does shine!) and the opportunity to walk, bike and just putter without the hassles of cold and snow are the main drawing cards that bring them back year after year. Bob has built a solar powered golf car and Don had a tour of the neighborhood in this vehicle.

Hi Don and Diane: I'm just getting through your very interesting blog here and was surprised to learn Bob lives in Ocala.I suppose it is his winter place. My nephew's widow also lives there. She and my nephew retired there from California many years ago. Small world! Rose Mary
