Where I stayed
Tallahassee RV Park
We decided to try some of the state highways today and it was a really pleasant drive. We used hwy 27 to Perry and then took 98 west. Traffic on roads like this is often light and Don finds it more enjoyable. We also get a chance to see the landscape as we can drive a little slower. We had hoped to find a spot in a State Park along the way or south of Tallahassee but were unsuccessful so have settled for the next couple of days in a park in a rural part of the city. It seems to be a very clean well run park and although the sites are not large, the coaches are angled so that you don't feel hemmed in.
Our travels today took us past both very affluent looking horse farms and Florida forest areas. On one of the more remote sections of the road we passed two people pushing carts with all their belonging piled on top. The piles were at least eight feet high and tied together with rope. What a contrast and statement of the times! T
