Temperatures in the eighties yesterday and snow flurries today!  What a contrast in weather!

Although the morning was cool, we decided to make a trip to Santa Fe specifically to visit the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum.  I've admired her work for years and when we last visited Santa Fe the museum was closed for the day.  A contemporary of the Group of Seven and of Emily Carr, her work broke old rules as she simplified images and concentrated on the shapes and colors of the southwest which she loved.  I managed to link into a group touring the museum with a guide and so was able to add details to my sketching knowledge of the artist and her life.  I think Don enjoyed this stop as well.

Back out on the street, even the vendors were huddled close to the buildings to keep warm.  Parking, normally a real challenge, was easy today!  We headed for a restaurant, Tomasita's, near the old Santa Fe Southern Railway station, after Don sought a recommendation from one of the security men in the museum.  The shops in this area are really interesting.  While there, we checked out some of the train tours taking place this weekend but we're not too excited about traveling with the Easter bunny!

By early afternoon, the snow started to fall and as the flakes increased in size we decided to call it a day and head back to the relative warmth of Albuquerque.
