I got some more time behind the wheel today.  We stopped for lunch just out of El Centro and Don took over for the trip into the more urban areas.  I don't know whether the desert roads between Blythe and El Centro were rate as easy driving though!  Narrow pavement and lots of dips!  The skies have been overcast all day and we've had a sprinkle of rain this evening.

The park is an older one with tight spots but it has storage so it will serve our needs well and when we use our Passport America discount membership, the price wasn't too bad either.  San Diego parks tend to be very expensive!  It took us a few tries to find level ground but once we settled in, it's not too bad!
