Today we spent the afternoon exploring the newest shopping centre in Calgary - Crossiron Mills.  The sculptures feature local industry, sports, geology and history and the whole experience of wandering the isle can be quite fun!  We were there for five hours and had a great time just window shopping!

Crossiron Mills is located along Hwy #2 just north of Calgary in the area that is expected to be the city's growth area.  It's close to the airport and just outside the current urban rim of the city.  We were chuckling at how we have moved from dodging shopping carts to dodging baby strollers.  The place was full of young families, demonstrating the young demographics of this city - quite a change from shopping down south during the winter!  It also is a great place to get some exercise without braving the elements!
