Chris and Sandy, friends from Ottawa, are touring the southwest in a small Honda and their destinations are determined by mood, opportunity and the weather.  We are staying in touch by e-mail and when we heard they would be in Sedona decided to join them for a couple of days. Our previous visits to Sedona were day-trips so this would give us a chance to explore at a more leisurely pace.  Little did we know that this visit would be an adventure in food establishments!

Wednesday night we visited a great Mexican restaurant, Thursday lunch was a mandatory visit to Shugrues www.shugrues.com/sedona  We managed to fit in a few visits to galleries and stores as well.  Well Sandy and I did while the guys sat on a patio watching the shadows move across the red rocks!  The evening was topped off with a splendid performance by a native american flutist with extensive knowledge of the history of the north america flute.  He is known as 'Wolfs Robe aka Flute Man'.  Until a few years ago he created custom flutes but now travels extensively to perform.  His website can be found at http://www.akaflutemanent.com
