Another couple of days of mooching, hiking, grocery shopping, reading, soaking in the hot tub, swimming, reading, sewing - we really are getting into the swing of things!  For the moment we are really enjoing the lack of a schedule.  I'm sure the day will come when that feeling passes but for now....

We made another visit to North Mountain but we still haven't reached the top.  But I did get further up the path before I cried uncle!!!!  We have a number of want-to-dos on our list but they are being postponed for the moment.  I am working on an item for a 'wearable art' competition entry that I didn't find time to complete before departure.  Don on the other hand has discovered Wilbur Smith's book 'River God'.  For anyone who hasn't read this series, we recommend it.

Today we decided to make another road trip.  Quartzsite is on our to-do list and Don noticed that there is an RV show featured this week.  Today was the last day.  As we travelled along Hwy #10 we commented on the number of RV that were coming towards us.  They out numbered the trucks on the road!  I wonder why they are leaving Quartzsite enmass? Could it be the threat of rainy weather tomorrow?

This road is flat!  And this is desert - even the cactus are further apart.  When we stopped at a rest stop, a prominent sign warns of poisonous snakes and insects. (rattlers and scorpions).

Quartzsite - what can I say!  Dusty!  Flea Market!.......We had fun talkiing to both exhibitors and other visitors at the exhibition site.  We never did make it to the RVs!  One Calgary couple we spoke with was stopping in Quartzsite on their travels between Yuma (warmer in January) and Lake Havasu (water) - both stops we want to make.
