¡Hola Everybody!
Okay so here is my first official update of life in the D.R. This is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL country with lots of dancing and cerveza drinking everywhere! I spent the first four weeks living with a host familia in teh capital, Santo Domingo. My family was awesome and my host ¨mom¨ is 24 years old and definitely one of the fabled ¨dominican women with cinnamon tans.¨ She is a far cry from my host mom in Haiti who had gold teeth and weighed about 200 pounds. Now I am in a new training area, a small village near the beach town of Cabrera with 10 other trainees for our technical training. We have five weeks here and it is gorgeous. My host dad makes wicker rocking chairs every night and i have two brothers and one sister living with me. today all of the trainees are going to a beahc that is supposedly got the white sands and blue water that the caribbean is famous for.
Spanish is coming slowly to put it mildly. I can pretty much get across what I need to say , but usually end up saying things like Ï am eating the cow yesterday¨ Everyone must think Im REALLY smart! (I just realized that what I thought were quotation marks are actually little dots, and i cant seem to find the quaotations, sorry about that!)
I miss you guys all SO MUCH and i cant wait to hear news from home. I got one letter from Mom about a week or two ago , but we havent been getting mail very frequently. I promise some from me is on its way. Keep me updated (btw, has Britney had her baby yet)!
Love, Mole/Molly

MOLLYYYYYYYYYYYY
mole, you sound like you're doing incredibly, as usual. you're stellar at adjusting to new situations, to appreciating everything that you experience, and enjoying life. i miss you sooooo much. i'm so happy to hear from you, and feel reassured knowing that you're well and happy.
yes, britney had her baby. a boy named sean. how disappointing, eh? i thought her baby would be named bliss or harmony or something... some other gossip news: tom cruise and katie holmes are 3 months pregnant, there are mad rumours (being denied, of course) that nick lachey and jessica simpson will be separating, kate moss got busted with coke and lost all of her endorsements and contracts, angelina and brad are like sooo official and his divorce with jenn has been made official, ashton and demi got married secretly, rebecca romjin and jerry o'connell are engaged... ok, now i'm just getting nuts and a tad too obscure. bet you're loving it, though, eh? ;)
i don't even know what to tell you about me. in fact, i think it's stuff best left in a personal email. who knows who may be checking this thing...
keep loving everything, keep reporting back, and keep on smiling. i can't wait to hear more, and i cannot wait to visit. if you can, please repost your snail mail address.
love miche
hey girl (chica??)

i'm so excited that you're back and bloggin...i missed that old black bean picture!! glad to hear it's so beautiful and everything--i really can't wait to visit! well keep the posts a'coming, i love to get them. te amo!!! (yo soy muy queso-y).
love, b-room :) :)
Cinnamon tan!
Now Miss Molly, good golly that sounds like a Hot Mamma! The very idea of lithe tanned hostesses makes your cousin Will think of the swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated! Love your writing style and love the idea of a host who weaves wicker rocking chairs.
IT does sound peaceful, which is just right for the Peace Corps. Good luck w. El Espanol, and keep your grandmothers crazy with the references to cervesa.
Our Tex and Richard join in wishing you well.
Love, Sally
