I just saw that I've had some visitors to this already...sorry for the non-action thus far.  I promise that one week from now, I'll start filling this up with good stuff.

Despite the grenade bombings and sit-in protests and popular opinion that we should opt out of this trip, Saren and I are still Thailand-bound.  Saren bravely and patiently called the airlines today to ask them what's up with our tickets since both Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports are closed---they said that we were the first people that still wanted to enter the country, and that they would make it happen.  Our entrance into the country hinges upon Bangkok opening up flight routes.

We had planned to forego Bangkok and get to Chiang Mai instead, but as the Prime Minister in-question by his people,  Chulanon Surayut, holds permanent residence there, it is most likely going to be counted out for safety reasons.
