After an early night I got up to catch an early bus out towards Erina. As I walked down to the bus stop the blasted thing flew past. Looking at the time table on the wall the buses were every hour :( not good. I looked on the map and calculated the distance to be roughly 4km, walkable. So I grabbed a bottle of water from the shop and off towards Erina fair I trotted. 35 minutes and 4.4km later I made it to the Erina fair which is a huge shopping center, maybe as large as Bluewater but all on one floor. I wandered around for a while, bought some more fluids and then headed out looking for Erina high school to meet the guys and see Josh play some cricket.

At the school, Ruby zipped along by me and ignored as I called her name. I saw Vicky and Andrew from a distance as they started heading over. Wow four and a half years, its been a long time. So much has changed since we last saw each other.

Josh' team won their match and the fact it was done before drinks was highly amusing to all the boys. We left the school and headed home to get the kids changed and then head on up to the beach for a BBQ.

On a little grass reserve tucked away behind a few dunes on the beach was a small BBQ area with some benches. The public hot plates are pretty cool, they run on a timer and the electric only kicks in when you hit a little button. Vicky started to cook and the minute her back was turned Josh jumped in there to takeover. By doing this he earned the title dish pig, Andrew and I found it highly amusing and josh never sulked off so it seems he took it in good jest. After our burgers we chilled with some beers to let the food settle then hit the beach so the kids could get out on their boogie boards. Once there we noticed blue bottles (jellyfish not flies) lined all along the shoreline, more washing in with every tide. So no water activities today but there are some dunes and plenty of beach plus a whole piers worth of rocks sticking out into the sea on the point.

We all chilled out, though the kids version of chilled is still pretty hectic, and after a while I took the kids off down to the point to play out on the rocks. I'm sure vicky and Andrew were glad for a bit of quiet. We jumped from rock to rock, peaking underneath various ones to find crabs or anything as interesting. A couple of pools made in the formation of the rocks even had some small fish in, completely cut off from the ocean until the tide changed. We ventured back to discover it was time to go. I was invited back for the day and dinner and accepted giving myself more time to chill with the guys.

We played some games inside, ran about in the yard playing football, cricket and baseball. All but Andrew played due to his back and after a few hours we were very much beaten. Back in the house we chilled over a film while Italian takeaway was on order. After food we finished off the movie and then the kids went off to bed. Giving that they had a long day, vicky and Andrew were also pretty beat and so Andrew dropped me back into Terrigal and probably went home to bed.

At first I was going to stay in but then I decided against it. I could be bothered to walk in town so I went to the pub opposite. This place was ram packed with youngsters and the occasional oldie like me. A few guys gave me some mouth and called me names for being on my own which I mostly ignored until the biggest one of them all came over who I had great pleasure in telling to fcuk off before I knocked him for six. I think the confrontation got the better of him especially when hearing the Pommey accent.

I sneaked off to the casino room and discovered a room full of slot machines and void of people. I wanted to drink but couldn't be bothered with the hassle. This would do nicely. I sat infront of a random machine, put in $10 to get 1000 credits and then proceeded to press random buttons in hope of working things out. Somewhere along the line I activated a feature which gave me free spins and constantly kept sipping in wins. Before I knew it my credits were up in the hundreds of thousands. I confused myself and had no idea what was actually happening or what my credits were worth until I hit collect and $705.20 flashed up on the screen! OMG!! I worked out how to collect claimed my money and decided to drink a whole lot more. Paying for my drinks and putting aside my rent money left me with $500.00 which would last me two weeks in accom fees... After 14 or 16 schooners I decided to call it a night and head back.
