Where I stayed
Cheeks Campervan
We're currently in Queenstown having done a fair bit of driving and seen some amazing sights around only a portion of the South Island.
A few highlights since Mt Cook - We had a long drive to Te Anau and had to do a stopover in Cromwell and stay in a campsite that can more accurately be described as a car park. We thought we wouldn't use the DVD player that came with Cheeks the Campervan, but there was nothing else to do except watch 'Dude wheres my car?' Oh dear! "Shibby"
Saturday a great improvement. Had a look around Te anau and headed out to a bush campsite between Te Anau and Milford Sound. Beautiful spot, but froze over night! See photo.
Milford Sound was wonderful. Tom treated us to an hour cruise so we go to take in the splendour of the high mountains either side of a river opening into the Tasman Sea. The size of the sheer rock faces dropping into the water is simply breath-taking, free tea on the boat was also good. Another bush camp last night which was next to a Lake so another chance for tom to dip in cold water!
We're having a quick stop in Queenstown tonight and will hopefully catch up with some of Tom's friends tonight (and get a shower in a commercial campsite!), before heading to adventure sports at Wanaka tomorrow!
Love to all, Jess

Having a cow!
Don't tell me you missed having pizza at 'The Cow' in Cow Lane QT... there's one in Wanaka, but it's not the original and no where near as good.
Sounds like you're having a blast.
Mt Cook photos are magic.
