24th Jan – At Sea, Had a bad night with sore throat & cold. Decided not to go line dancing but had a sleep in. Got up at 9.30 am and stayed in room until 11 am. Went up on deck to meet Carol & Jeff. Stayed for a couple of hours. Went back to cabin and relaxed. We had to attend the Indian immigration people. It was very busy. I was in the queue for one and a half hours. I met Amanda for pre-dinner drinks in the Officer's Mess before she hosted our dinner table. Ended up having a couple of drinks in Raffles bar with Carol & Jeff. Clocks went forward 30 mins. (I think we must be about 6 hours in front of the UK).
25th Jan – At Sea. Had better night, throat not so sore but coughing more. Feeling a little better though. Went up on deck and met Carol. Sunbathed for a few hours. Carol went to the cooking demonstration. It was on cooking curries. I just said I buy mine from the Chinese up the road! I phoned Amanda to ask her if she could do my nails (and Carol’s if poss). She came at 4.30 pm. We drank wine of course. I met Amanda for pre-dinner drinks in the Officer’s Mess. We then went to the Captain’s cocktail party before dinner. Hannah hosted the table. It was Burns Night. Had some celebrations re. Haggis. I then went to Carmens with Carol & Jeff. I managed to get a Barn Dance with Jeff but it was at a very fast speed. At the end of the night there was the Last Waltz and I was getting pretty emotional (thinking of the times I danced this with Terry and he would sing it to me) when a gentleman asked me to dance, Bless, it was the husband of one of the ladies I go line dancing with – she sent him across, I spoke to them all for a while. Unfortunately they are getting off tomorrow in Mumbai. What lovely people!
26th Jan – Mumbai. Feeling much better although still coughing. I went up on deck for a couple of hours. I went in the Terminal with Amanda to see what they had on sale there – not a lot. We then went back on the ship and I had to get ready to go out on a tour. I had fish & chips on deck first. My tour was at 1.15 pm. We went to the Gateway of India which is opposite the Taj Mahal Hotel – very crowded. It was a coach journey around Mumbai which was very interesting but would never go again. Very depressing sights i.e. lots of children begging etc. We ended up at the Mayfair Hotel where there were refreshments and a show of Indian dancing put on for us. It was very good although I did not have anything to eat or drink (on Amanda’s say-so!) Got back to the ship at 5 pm. I went up on deck for sailaway (with cocktails of course). It was a lovely atmosphere. I got ready for dinner and decided to go for a pre-dinner drink (mainly because I fancied the cheesy biscuits they give you with a drink in Raffles bar – I know what a pig!) After dinner I went to Carmens with Carol & Jeff for a couple of dances. It was very nice because the Indian waiters were allowed to wear their traditional costumes.

Hi everyone! Thank you all for your comments - nice to hear from you. Like most of you, I don't find doing the blog easy. I have tried downloading pictures but seem to run out of time before it can happen. I am sure I will get the hang of it by the time I get home. This is definitely what the doctor ordered. Enjoying it. Thinking of you all. Love Mo x

Love hearing about what you are doing cant wait until you get back so I can see all the photos and really looking forward to hearing about China and Vietnam somewhere i would love to see but probably never will, so you are going to have to do it for me.

Me again Mo. Thought I would let you know that we saw Jan today (it's Saturday) and she asked me to send her love to you and say she thinks about you often.
She is using the map you gave to plot where you are. She looks well-they were off to the pub for lunch!
