Where I stayed
As we were trying to catch a flight and had little time for lunch, Gustavo took us to a "casual" place by the airport. The casual place was a stand near a soccer field next to the airport. The food was very good, and the setting was very nice, but for those who a picky eaters it may not be the best choice
We arrived at the aiport right on time and had a nice flight on LAN to Salta. The flight departed on time and arrived on time. There was no jetbridge to our flight, so we had to take a bus to the plane and climb stairs to get on the plane (no big deal, but odd for an airport in a major city). The folks at Sayta ranch had sent 2 small taxis for our group of 7 with 7 large bags. We got it all figured out and made the 40 minute drive to the Ranch. While it was a little uncomfortable, we were all excited to get to the ranch. It was also much warmer in Salta. It reaminded all of us a little bid of El Paso, but is was certainly a change from Buenos Aires.
Martina and Enrique were waiting for us when we arrived at the ranch. They had a small snack prepared for us as well as some drinks. We spent some time unpacking and getting to know the dogs.
We had a late dinner of Spaghetti with some great conversation with Martna who was from Switzerland. It was interesting to hear about her life (she was very young and very pretty). She said she loved to Malonga and she loved Argentina. She said maybe some day she would like to see NY City.
The Ranch accomodations were basic, but the experience was great.
