We rented golf carts to tour the city. Colonias operated at a much slower pace than Buenos Aires. We saw all of the historic sites and ate lunch at a very cute restaurant on the main square of Colonias. We liked the cobble stone streets, and the light house.
We did some shopping and bought a few items. It was obvious that Colonias is a tourist destination and is set up to cater to the tourist
We returned to Buenos Aires on the 4:30 pm ferry. During the ride back to Buenos Aries, the kids and I shopped in the duty free store. Most things in the store were very expensive, but the one thing that caught our eye was the Kirkland brand pepper grinder (like you would buy at Costco). We thought it was very funny that they were selling it in the duty free store.
Gustavo (the driver from the day of our arrival) met us at the port. He tood Wayne back to the hotel as he was not feeling well. Gustavo took the rest of us leather shopping and to dinner at Imperious. The leather shop we went to was at 666 Murillo in Palermo. I thought the store was expensive and the people in the store were not helpful. I wouldn't waste my time shopping at this store. The pizza on the other hand was great. We ate with Gustavo and had a great evening. Imerious also has great desserts. We all tried something a little different and we all loved the food.
Overall it was great day.
