Fred and Gustavo from Silvercar were waiting for us to take us to our hotel. We changed some US$ at Banco National in the airport and were off.
We met Wayne and Nancy at the hotel. They arrived just a few minutes after we did.
We unpacked and then went to lunch and shopping on Florida Street. We did not make any major purchases, but we did get helado at Freddo's. We were not able to get a taxi back to the hotel due to the rush hour. So, we hung out at the mall and then walked to Cabana Las Lilas. The walk was not bad other than it was a little cold. Wayne met us at Las Lilas.
The food at Las Lilas was great. Our steaks were perfect, and the service was first class. We hope we can go back at a later date.
We Met someone at the resteraunt who went to BYU (I was wearing a BYU shirt).
Overall it was a good first day, but we need to figure the taxi thing out or it will be tough to get around the city.
