The plane ride has gone smoothly-other than the fact that Kristi and I are both germaphobes and there is a lady a few rows up that we are convinced is dying from the bubonic plague or something of the sorts.

We watched Paranormal Activity 4 and then 10 Years. Finally tried to catch some sleep. But being only an hour away and seeing the sunrise over Ireland was too alluring to keep my eyes shut for long. Praying for strength as the day ahead is sure to be a long one.

It was hard to say goodbye, and at the same time it seems silly that it was hard because this journey is so short in the bigger picture. It was hard to say goodbye because our future is unknown, there are so many uncertainties, including my mom's major surgery in a few short hours. But as we said bye, my dad hugged me tight and said "trust God" and "I love you" among other words- that I didn't really hear.

"Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God!" Corrie ten Boom

And so. I'm watching the sun rise over Ireland. Knowing who goes before me

"Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
Psalms 73: 23-26
