We woke up and it was our last full day here as we were off to Tahiti tomorrow morning. We got breakfast from the hotel room downstairs, I had a croissant and a orange juice. We went up to the room to get dressed.
Today was our last day in Hawaii, so we thought we would go snorkeling and kayaking near the Captain Cook Monument at Kealakekua Bay. It was 9.30 in the morning, we didn't want to go any later because it takes 45 -60 min to get there on HI-180. So we got in a taxi and went to Kealakekua Bay.
When we got there, we had no snorkels or flippers or kayaks so we went to a shop called Kona Boys, where we got all geared up for our trip. First we went kayaking out into the sea. James and I went in a kayak and my mum and Chloe in the second kayak. Finally my dad and my brother Ben were in the third kayak. My breath was taken away by the beautiful coral reefs. We all thought it would be a good time to jump out of our kayaks and put on our snorkels, as we jumped in. The water was like a bath it was so warm, we swam around for a bit, it was magical. After a while of snorkeling we were getting hungry so we paddled back to the beach. It was time for lunch (YAY)!
As we got back to get lunch we went to the Manago restraunt. It was very good and filled with amazing traditional Hawaiian food. I had salted pork with cabbage. Whilst the main course is coming out you get these lovely orerves. Manago is definitely a family restraunt.
Whilst we were filled up with delicious food we knew our last day in Hawaii was coming to a end. We had to ride home and we were filled up with amazing Hawaiian food. It was a very late lunch and we didn't dare to go to dinner, as we were filled up to the rim. I was packing my bag waiting for the surpirise ahead of me in Tahiti.
We got in back to the hotel, and sunk our self in our suite for the last time.
