Our trip in NZ has finally come to an end, and we fly onto Fijian sunnier climes tomorrow morning. We have covered over 5000kms, and stayed in more than 25 locations in the last 33 days. We have matrimonially survived living in a space the size of a double bed for two months (Including Oz), and have become quite slick at putting the van into day or night mode reasonably quickly. However, M would question K field skills after all, it is only her stuff that falls out of the campervan whenever a door is opened.
On reflection we have questioned whether we tried to cover too much, in too little time. We had what seemed a feasible plan before arriving, but the reality of actually being here with so many wonderful things to see and do, along with the long driving distances on many slow winding mountainous roads, made each day a challenge. Our simple solution would be to visit NZ for months or years not weeks as this country is scenically spectacular, and the people are wonderfully friendly - definately need a return trip to ths bril country.
