Day started well on discovering Wolves beat Birmingham. We never go McDonalds but with web access being so poor around Cairns, it was our last resort.  The proliferation of web access for India, Laos, Malaysia and Singapore outshines Australia by a country mile.  

We left Cairns heading up towards Cape Tribulation and the Daintree National Park.  In 1770 Cap Cook and his Endeavour ran aground off Cape Tribulation and appropriately named, from the Endeavour crew's despair, Cape Tribulation, Weary Bay and Mount Sorrow which were later listed as part of the Daintree Rainforest National Park. The Daintree is the oldest rainforest on earth stretching for more than 135 million years and is the only place where rain forest meets reef.

Kim’s paranoia of killer animals was not helped with crocodile warning signs every 5 meters the further north we travelled.  Crocs hiding in the mangroves, killer jellyfish in the sea and rabid cassowaries ready to peck your eyes out had Kim’s tracker spotter skills on red alert.  Now was a good time for Mark to remind Kim about the snakes and spiders which so far had not got on her RADAR.
