A leisurely start to the day with a visit to the Monkey temple (Galwar Bagh), home to a large tribe of monkeys (rhesus macaques) who live here. The site consists of several temples and sacred kunds (water tanks) in which pilgrims bathe. The Monkey temple is also the home of Galtaji, which is an ancient Hindu pilgrimage site. The men and women bathed in separate tanks surrounded by both monkeys and cows. It was very amusing watching an elderly Indian lady fishing donated coins from the holy water tank with a large magnet tied to a piece of string.
