Hola
Here are the photos from the Ciudad Perdida trek. Most of the blog was sent via email so I will just add some historic facts here.

We did the trek in 6 days but you can do it in 5 and if really keen even 4.......

The Lost city is one of the largest pre Columbian towns discovered in the Americas (that is Columbus not Colombia). It was built between 11th ' 14th centuries on Sierra Nevada near Santa Marta. During their conquest of South America the Spanish wiped out the Tyronas tribes, its believed they found the city but ¨forgot yes FORGOT about it for oh lets see a few hundred years... The jungle reclaimed it an it was accidently rediscovered by guaqueros (tomb raiders) in 1975. Only 4 of the 15 hectares are visible and there are 150 stone terraces, and over 1,200 most covered precarious steps to climb to get there.

The site is now protected by the military. A group of extremely young soilders who are very happy to welcome you as they are bored out of their minds. They will wave and give you the thumbs up too.....

Unfortunately I still cant access my memory card so these photos are from my inbuilt memory and Lils camera. Shame I had some great mud photos.
