Where I stayed
Nihao from China!
Chengdu is by no means pretty city but there's lovely huge parks, gorgeous temples and best of all the PANDAS!! They are so adorable, just the cutest things ever.
There's something thrilling to be in a country where we can't understand any written or spoken language and nobody understands us. People are staring at us and taking pictures as well but Chinese are friendly. Twice already somebody has walked a mile with me just to guide me to the right direction or take me to the bus stop. You see, I just wander around and get the map out when it's time to go back. ( This time John's stomach is doing tricks and he is having time off.)
" Big brother" is watching carefully everyone's moves and guiding across the road- try stepping away from the zebra crossing and you will hear about it! Road crossings are just mad and quiet electric mopeds whizzing pass from every direction + cars driving against the red light don't make it any easier. Pedestrians have no rights what so ever.
Food is hot and spicy just as promised and dirt cheap. Today I paid the equivalent of 60 pence for my huge noodle dish! All I know it could have been minced rat with noodles but it was very tasty and lip numbing!
Next some villages.
ps. I've downloaded some more photos to the other entries
