Italy was playing their 2nd stage match in 3 days.... so now that we are world cup groupies .. off to Italy!! We had 3 days to kill before the game, so we found a random hillside near Cinque Terra, set up our tents and hiked around.

Cinque Terre, meaning 5 lands, consists of 5 small villages nestled on sheer cliffs, overlooking the Mediterranean. The water is crystal blue, the food.... well, we're in Italy... and the colorful buildings, flowers and slow pace makes this an incredible destination.

The Italians are so welcoming and proud of their villages - they embrace you being here... many touristy destinations are abrasive toward tourists. These towns... not at all. Anyway, we strongly recommend this place, regardless of what you're looking for in a vacation. Good snorkeling, hiking, food, people and beauty.... Disfruta!
