We finally made it!!!
We arrived in Fredericton around 4pm after crossing the border without no hassle.
We got to our friend's house around 5:30pm, the weather is dreadful toady in the way of non stop rain all day, like a typical BC day really.
We went straight out for supper to my favorite fish and chips place, then after that we went to the movies to watch saw 5 in 3D. - So it was long busy day.
So then to summarize the trip:
1 :Our favorite place we visited was no doubt Yellowstone Park, I personally liked driving through the wild west in Montana and Ohio
2: The best hotel was the Best Western Hotel in Howe in the state of Indiana
3: The best meal we had was at the 3 bears Restaurant in West Yellowstone park
4: Best cheapest shopping experience: Walmart at US/CANADA Border, 4 pairs of jeans at $1.00 each! for Debbie of course.....
Tips:
Take plenty of change for the tolls across the US, these damn things seem to be every other mile, and some of the roads are in a bad state too.
Drive only in the day, the daily evidence of night time road kill is alarming!!
If driving in November you need snow tires for some of the mountain passes, actually in some states you need tire chains as well!!
keep smiling if you ever go to grumpy Chicago, what a load of miserable feefers there!!
Overall the experience driving in the US was very pleasant indeed, there is plenty of rest areas along the route of the highways, people were nicer than i thought they would be, (except chicago) maybe having a bad day or somut.
Hotels where good except the one in Chicago, (sorry Chicago you need to get with it)
Food was plentiful and very very cheap indeed, and so was the gas (petrol to us Brits)
The places where we would love to go back to would be:
1: Yellowstone Park
2: Portland in New Hampshire (new england)
3: and maybe some of the redneck little towns in the wild west somewhere
The places we would like to visit next ,where we have not been to are:
1: Alaska
2:Vegas baby
3:California
4:Texas
5:New York City
6:Tennessee
Thats about it, hope you enjoyed the blog, until next time...........
ps: no pictures was taken today, sorry.
