Hello everybody!
It is Tuesday morning here in warm and sunny Saigon.  Had a huge breakfast this morning at the hotel. Cam, you know those pants you just took in an inch for me?  If we keep eating like we did this morning, I may need to have them let out.  Breakfast consisted of hot soup called Pho, springrolls (lots of em) not sure of the Vietnamese name but I call them GOOD.  Small oranges called quit similar to tangerines but better. Little steamed buns filled with meat called banh bo.  Basically it is a large buffet that Harrison makes at least 6 trips to each morning.  It is funny to watch him go up to the buffet and talk with the pretty Vietnamese girls that help serve you and try to communicate with them.  He is not shy about that all.  Chip of the old block I say.

Lan took Anelise to get her medical and passport documentation completed this morning.  She went with Madame Chau and her daughter Diep.  They did not have enough room in the car so Harrison and I stayed at the hotel.   Harrison and I went for a walk in the area and the sights and smells were amazing.  Its one thing to see it all from a car as we did the last few days getting Anelise.  Walking amongst the markets, shops, stalls and traffic is a whole different story.  If you want to cross the street and you are waiting for the traffic to break, forget about it.  The best method is to muster up your courage and just step out in it.  As long as you are moving at a steady pace, they flow around you.  Or at least that is my theory.  We walked through a very crowded market place where all kinds of goods could be purchased at dirt cheap prices.  We ran into a fair number of Americans and other foreigners along the way.  Most stood out and were ripe targets for service offerings ranging from cyclo rides to the war museum to offers to stop and eat at street side stands selling pungeant foods and drinks.

Later today we plan to take a taxi with Diep to get a umbrella stroller and some other stuff and then check out one of the local eateries.  Lan has returned from the doctor and Anelise checked out well and her passport documentation is in process.  She is apparently running a slightly elevated temp but that is not abnormal for a child beginning teething.  We'll keep an eye on it.  Tomorrow we have a free day so we'll do a lot of exploring.  Lan is going for a ride on Diep's motorcycle to pick up some stuff too.  She is very nervous about that but I encouraged her to do it because it will be an experience to remember (and she is well insured).  Thanks for reading, more later.

Lan riding a cycle got me giggling...
...and then I saw 'Ed Asner'! She's a button! I might borrow her when you get home.
Tell Harry to take it easy on the ladies and focus on bringing me home a few egg rolls.
SUPERB job on the updates, Robert!
Don't forget to take a picture of the outside of the hotel and your room number! Y'all may want to go back to your exact spot one day and reminisce!
So elated for you!

Eat, Drink, and Be Merry!!!
Indulge on all of the authentic Vietnamese food for us. May I suggest Pepto as an after dinner drink? We're so ecstatic that everything is going well. I'm sure Anelise loves the massages. Remind Harrison to tell Justin all about the pretty ladies. . . I mean the delicious buffet. As for you, Robert, elastic waisted pants . . . why didn't I think of that? Give Anelise some kisses from us.
Love,
Cam and Mark :)

Rasperries
Can't believe I mispelled raspberries in the photo captions. I'll blame it on the Tiger beer I had last night. Please forgive the other typos and grammatical errors. So out of character for me.
