After all the travelling in the past few days we practically were given a day to rest at Coral Bay where the Ningaloo Reef was just a stones throw away from the beach and it was time to do what I had come to Australia for - to be a beach bum. It was over 30 degrees so laying in the sun was divine and after an hour the tan was quickly settling in so I decided to join a few of the others that had snorkelling gear and bought my own mask and snorkel as I figure I will need this at a later date and swam in the reef.

This was my first time snorkelling so trying to figure how it worked took a bit longer than it should've. The whole breathing while looking in the water went against any training from swimming that I've built up over the years I've been swimming but once I got into the habit of actually breathing out my mouth all was well and I got to see the first bits of coral in the ocean and meet many different type of fishy friends.

Had a really nice freshly caught fish burger before heading into the sea again as I could feel the sun burn already.

After this it was time to head off to Exmouth and to party the night away there.
