I'm sure the oxymoron above is probably only relevant here in Australia. It seems for some reason they are jealous of snow...I say have it and the UK can have the sun! In July generally around Sydney CBD there have been snow party's (which is actually just been raining polystyrene) and that's no fun and causes more issues as drink plus polystyrene on the floor = Messy! Not to say dangerous too as its easier to slip on the floor.

I have drifted away from this entry, so going back to Bondi I actually chose to get up quite early today to take pictures of the sunrise as it has been something I have been meaning to tick off the list and to practice my early morning shots. I have found taking longer exposure shots without a tripod have been quite hard but am building up my experience so I don't have to rely on one.

I chose to then do the Bondi to Coogee walk which is a 6km walk which was beautiful to do at that time on a Sunday morning...then I went and ruined some of my hard work by having Macca's for brekkie. Mind it was a plain toasted bagel meal rather than the usual Sausage and Egg McMuffin I normally go for.

After dipping my feet in Coogee and having a walk up the main high street, I took the bus back to Bondi as there is currently a Winter Festival which I had to see for myself. It was highly a contradiction in the weather as it was around 16 degrees in the day, sun out and clear sky's yet in the middle of Bondi was a ice skating rink and Lipton were handing out free Chai Tea Latter's and of course it would be rude no to oblige and have a cup.

The festival included a few stalls selling mulled wine and general Aussie souvenirs and was a good day out for families. I of course did not go touching the ice rink as me and ice skating have a mutual dislike for each other and as much as I hate saying never I am in hope that I will never ever go on a ice skating rink as it is simply not for me.
