Once a year at the end of May, the Harbour of Sydney lights up to display a symphony of lights on not just the Opera house but also there was a fire show in Campbell's Cove and projections on Customs House with sound effects and many more.
I am lucky enough not to be too far from the Opera House so made sure I was there on opening night to see the light show on the symbol of Oz and I wasn't disappointed as the video attached shows.
So over a few days I first went to see the opening of the show at the opera house then inevitably I took my camera out to take a few pictures of even the hidden aspects of the festival that were scattered around not just circular quay but in the Rocks area too.
There were music shows, talks and exhibition in the Opera house which were really entertaining and good to see. The festival is a great idea and a good day out for not just kids but everyone especially those with tripods (which I was jealous off as mine usually sits in my bedroom at home).
There was good atmosphere around the weekends and even more street artists were about and there were some great street work in terms of shows going on. They are missing a trick with this in London as there are many great historical sites at home where a similar show can be done so hopefully one day it will be the same.
One of the days however after the pictures I decided to treat myself at the best pancake house than ever (well American style pancakes as the BEST in the world are in Amsterdam) which is pancakes on the rocks which again you can see its journey to my belly.
However I digress, and would highly recommend going to have a butcher's if you're ever in Sydney when this festival is on.
