This deserves its own entry as I was on my way to meet some friends I met in India last year that live in Sydney. I've been on the train a couple of times before hand and had not seen anything out of the ordinary to date however today changed the way I look at train seats forever!

There I was on the way to Parramatta and as I do back in London, I used the seats opposite me as a foot rest then lo and behold an old man came to what I thought was sit down opposite my chair, but then the magic happened...he grabbed the handle and MOVED (yes moved!) the seats so a) he doesn't have to look at me b) have his back to the direction the train was going in c) possibly avoid anybody going to sit next to him as he now had a window seat.

This happened many hours ago but I'm failing to get remove the excitement of the notion and pure genius of this simple yet very effective tool on public transport has completely made my day!

Once the aforementioned old man vacated his seat I of course had to test the notion of this new kinetic function that I had just witnessed a few stops beforehand and therefore have demonstrated with the videos attached how this magic works.

To me this is amazing! It is true how the simple things are what makes us happy :o)
