Happy New Year everyone!!!!
I hope everyone had a festive new years evening and not too many of you are dragging your heels today.
Yesterday John Liam Mike and I went out on a boat snorkeling. We went to 3 spots with the first being the best. We saw some wonderful corals, blue tip and table, and so many fish. One of our favorite things was seeing a large school of squid...they are very interesting. The boys are very natural in the water and do a great job diving down and looking for things. The second snorkel Liam and Mike saw a turtle and the third snorkel they saw another turtle and a very ugly moray eel...which John screamed and swam away fast.
Last night there was a hotel hosted cocktail party which was really nice. We saw a couple of baby sharks swimming along the beach which was exciting. We then sent Ellie back to the room with a sitter (she is so tired as she literally is in the pool all day long) We had a lovely dinner and then went and joined the party on the beach. They had a band and a magic show. It was so much fun watching all the kids at the resort dancing and having fun. The boys, loved it and had lots of fun. They talked about all the various countries here at the resort and as far as we could see we were the only ones from Canada, or North America for that fact. Mike and I shook it up some, and even got Granny out for one dance. At mid-night we all headed back to the room...apparently the party went on until 5:30!!!!
Today was very slow and relaxing. Ellie has hooked up with Julia, a 6 year old, and the boys with Julia's older brother Trevor. They are always trying to run off to play pool...they are having fun together.
Liam has decided to do his dive certificate. He needs to do 2 days of full lessons/dives. I am really proud of him for deciding to do this...but I must admit I am a little nervous. I have mentioned to Mike that maybe he could join Liam for his big open water dive!!!!!
Geordie and Ade, I hope you and mystery child are doing well...only a little time left. Please hang on Ade as Drama Grandma would be so upset if he/she comes while we are here!!!
Wishing you all a fantastic new year and we will be in touch very soon
Love all of us

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Wishing all of you there a Happy New Year. It has been very quiet here but very nice. We arrived home safely from Portland. Karyn drove and we made it in just under 6 hrs., stopping for lunch at the 'Turkey House' which we enjoyed. We had a lovely Christmas with the Ovingtons. Maggie is so sweet and we had a great time with her. It was beautiful on the Oregon Coast. We had a bad wind storm the night we arrived but after that the weather was warm & sunny. Jeff managed to go surfing twice, we went to Newport Beach to the Aquarium, walked the beach a few times and even had a fire, toasted marshmallows, drank some wine and watched the sunset - it was beautiful. Karyn got some great pictures with her new camera. She is anxious for Mike to get home to give her a few tips on using it.
Hope Liam is doing well with his diving - sounds exciting and we are happy to hear that he is doing it.
Can hardly wait until Saturday, I checked your flight and it shows you getting in at l:30pm. We will check it in the morning before we go over to get the van to see if you will be on time or not.
Enjoy the rest of your stay - thanks again,so much for all the messages. It has been great to be able to follow your travels and hear everything that you are doing, makes us feel like we are part of it. Love to all and special hugs for the little ones. Again, wishing you all a Happy & Healthy New Year. Love to all, Nana & Poppa
Nice to be home!
Hello to all..I'm sure you are enjoying the sunshine, the pool and the ocean. How did Liam do with his certificate course. Auntie Chicken would be nervous about the open water dive..I hope Mike went with him.
It feels like you've been away for a long time. I can't wait to see you on Saturday. How much stuff do you have b/c we didn't know if we needed to bring two cars to the airport?
It's been raining here....but we had a break yesterday when the sun came out and it was beautiful. There is a ton of snow on the mountains....our EDGE cards are calling. We'll have to make a few trips up to Whistler in the next few weeks!
Mom and Dad, Cathie and Larry are coming over to my place for dinner tonight....should be fun.
Enjoy your last few days....
All the best,
Love Auntie
