This afternoon we took a drive north to a town called Laon which is built up on a hill. The town has grown in size and now a second township is at the base of the hill. Richard hoped to take us up the hill on the Poma 2000 a cable-car. but it was not operating so we drove up instead. We walked around the small cobbled streets and through the Notre-Dame of Laon.
