Spent a couple of days in San Francisco.  The big city sure is fun but expensive.  We had some fun wandering the streets.  We had some Indian food in the Haight district.  It is quite the difference from the backcountry.  We got our visa for India and then headed out of town.  It was a good visit to the city and just long enough.

Quite a Change
It must have been a bit of a mini culture shock to go from back country to San Fran. Are you off to New England next? It looked like it from your map. Any particular reason for going clear across the US and then back to the West Coast again?

It was a shock, we were ready to get out of there when we were finished with our tasks. It was some good food and fun. We watched a guy smash a car window and steal some electronics. The cops were called but didn't catch him. we pretty much wanted to get out of town after that since everything we need with us is in our car these days. Ohh, also I fixed the dates. we will be traveling to the east coast after we finish hiking the John Muir Trail. We're heading to the east to visit my Uncle Al. and a few others.
