Folks!

WE arrived safely in the capital on Friday. Not without a disaster though, as my wallet decided to go AWOL on the plane. After much panicking a stewardess found it. Needless 2 say. Jay is now looking after the valuables :-)

Weather is great 35C! I'm starting to become as dark as my good friend - Rory...!

The Hallo/Reading boyz will be pleased to hear I hve managed to pickup some "moffat" items already!

Besides that, Have sampled the local cuisine - fried rice with chicken, fish curries and ..

01 - First night in Bangkok

. deep fried insects!!! mmm...crispy... So far, touchwood haven't had any serious problems down there...watch this space...!

You can get anything here, but food is the best thing, so cheap, dinner for 2 for less than a quid! I'm lovin' it!!!

Also sat in a tuk=tuk (without getting ripped off and taken on a jewelery tour); the skytrain (excellent, puts the tube to shame), and river boat - very good but packed.

Also, Been to various temples in the city - taken some good shots.

Met up with our tour group last night, they're a good bunch - mix of aussies/brits/danes/americans/canadians...went for few beers with them.

Unfortunately, one is a Man U fan....Can't have everything I guess (and he's from Manchester..!)

chiang mai is our next stop on a 13hr night train...should be interesting... will drop a line to you all in a few days.

It's cold and miserable in Blighty....
.... and you're off enjoying 35C in Thailand. I'm not jealous at all honestly!!!

Sanj you are unbelievable mate, 3 months to go and you lose your wallet on the plane; typical. It's a good job Jay is there to keep tabs on you!
